Allen Malek

Allen Malek is a veteran of the Health IT industry and an expert in software architectures and best practices processes in medical software. He currently consults and performs audits for Quandary Peak’s clients, which include EHR software vendors, the ONC, and the OIG. He is responsible for analyzing Health IT software systems, primarily with regard to software safety, reliability, interoperability, and SDLC standards.

In addition, Mr. Malek is a Senior Lecturer in the College of Engineering and Computer Sciences at Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN. He is a faculty member of the Computer Science Department and is a principal investigator for the school’s Enterprise Computing initiative.

Prior to his academic endeavors, Mr. Malek was the Chief Technology Officer for MIS Systems. Later, he worked as Director of Interface Development at Pathgroup (a Pathology Services Laboratory). As Software Engineer in a variety of roles, Mr. Malek has implemented and developed numerous healthcare software systems. In addition, he has held the position of Senior System Architect, leading the efforts of meaningful use certification for software providers.

As a renowned Computer Science expert, he has published on a variety of topics, from Mesh Networking, to Subspace Clustering, to Deep Learning. He has also served on the advisory panel for several scientific boards and journals.
