Shahzad Ahmad has extensive understanding and knowledge of the enterprise healthcare IT landscape in both EHR systems as well as medical devices.

He joins Quandary Peak from Haemonetics, a leader in haemostasis blood management space. There he worked in a global landscape and applied industry best practices, standards, and regulatory requirements to own the entire software development life cycle of a medical device designed to characterize blood clotting. Prior to this, Shahzad worked as a technical problem solver and project manager to implement the Epic EHR across the nation’s top hospitals. Specifically, he provided technical oversight, project management, and designed solutions to implement Epic modules for population health, reporting, outpatient care, telehealth, and patient portal access.

Shahzad holds a Bachelors of Science in Bioengineering with Minors in both Business and Chemistry from the University of Illinois. While there, Shahzad was part of a research team aiming to create technologies for early detection of cancer biomarkers. Shahzad also worked to increase exposure to the field of nanotechnology through production and distribution of interactive web content.

Shahzad now focuses on honing and applying his skills in the EHR space to help clients navigate regulatory standards, software quality, project management, and patient safety.
