Shahzad Ahmad has extensive understanding and knowledge of the enterprise healthcare IT landscape, spanning both EHR systems and medical devices.
He joined Quandary Peak in 2021 following his work at Haemonetics, a leader in the haemostasis blood management space, where he operated in a global environment and applied industry best practices, standards, and regulatory requirements to own the full software development lifecycle of a medical device designed to characterize blood clotting. Prior to this, Shahzad served as a Technical Project Manager at Epic Systems, where he led large-scale EHR implementations for some of the nation’s top hospitals. In this role, he provided technical oversight, managed cross-functional teams, and designed solutions across Epic modules including population health, reporting, outpatient care, telehealth, and patient portals.
Shahzad holds a B.S. in Bioengineering with minors in Business and Chemistry from the University of Illinois. During his time there, he contributed to research focused on early detection of cancer biomarkers and supported initiatives to expand access to nanotechnology education through interactive web content.
Shahzad now focuses on applying his expertise in EHR systems to help clients navigate regulatory standards, software quality, project management, and patient safety.
